We so loved the pop up experience we had last year that we felt we just needed to find somewhere nice and settle down. We’ve done it up and made it look really cute. We hope you like it!
Being part of a brand new building development, there was always going to be some slippage in the opening of ‘The Artworks’. But we’re so glad the wait is now over.
It’s thrilling to be associated with the exciting regeneration of Elephant & Castle, an area that’s so close to the centre of London but that’s until now not enjoyed the revival that other areas like Shoreditch have seen recently. And now that revival is here – and we’re a part of it.
We can now display our gorgeous range of original ethical ethnic-inspired jewellery from around Africa.
I like to think that Sapelle has a pioneering spirit, so this move into an unorthodox, exciting building complex, made up of recycled shipping containers, and housing an eclectic mix of fashion, food, arts and wellbeing brands, is totally us and right up our alley.
Here’s a glimpse of the shop, with pieces from our Autumn/Winter range in the foreground, being debuted.
So, if you’re in London, hop onto the Bakerloo line, jump off at Elephant & Castle. We’re less than 5 minutes away on foot, under the railway bridge on the corner of Walworth Road and Elephant Road. We’ll be open from 10am until 6pm.
We opted for clean, white decor to set off the myriad colours our fashion comes in – and it works (even if I say so myself).
So come down this Saturday and hang out with us and the residents of Elephant & Castle – you’ll be just in time to see ‘Elefest‘, a vibrant annual event celebrating the cultural and creative diversity of the area and the people who live in it. ‘The Artworks’ is at the centre of the activity, so you’ll get to catch the vibe.
The Sapelle shopping experience just got better – hope to be able to share it with you soon.
