The 28-year-old will represent Visible Difference, Skin Illuminating and foundation brands across the continent.
The brand is expanding out of SA to countries like Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Nigeria and Kenya, and chose Ariyo because of her beauty, values, intelligence and entrepreneurial qualities, which she has to reflect to a wide range of African women.
Adeola’s modeling career began at the age of 13 in London. She has since walked the runway at London Fashion Week, Arise Fashion Week in Lagos, Johannesburg Fashion Week and Cape Town Fashion Week.
Commenting on her partnership with Elizabeth Arden, Ariyo says, ‘Being chosen as an Elizabeth Arden Brand Ambassador in Africa is an incredible honour. Elizabeth Arden herself was an entrepreneur, a women’s advocate and champion for holistic beauty, inspiring women all over the world. I’m proud to be associated with a brand that embodies such important values.’
On a continent where beauty in such a diversity of templates and complexions, finding one woman to appeal to such a wide audience must have been a challenge. We think EA’s choice of Ariyo, with her distinctive yet widely appealing looks and her substance is spot on. What do you think?
